This didn't go where I thought it was... Here is what I was trying to post:

I just read an auction on eBay for an IC-756 with a bad display and TX audio
problem. In it the fellow says ICOM is supposed to be recalling all the
displays on the original 756. Hence replacing them free of charge. He does a
pretty good job of describing the problems with the rig. I have a problem
with him advertising a recall. I DON"T THINK IS GOING TO HAPPEN! Any
comments from the group?
