Hi Floyd,

Good question - one would need to compare an earlier and a later edition of
the service manual or schematic. The service manual I have is Rev.
A-5044H-S, published in 1990 (the same as the downloadable version). I am
not aware of any published SB addressing this issue, as Icom never
"officially" acknowledged PBT reinstatement and the passband ripple would
not have shown up with "stock" IF Shift engaged. (IF Shift bypasses the 9
MHz filter.)
