[ICOM] FS: CT-17 imitation from Donner's interfaces

There are a coupla things wrong here.

The CT-17, and the various other adaptations of it, are a serial data to
CI-V interface for the Icom Radios. It is a hardware device to convert from
a RS-232 serial port to the TTL Levels of the CI-V Icom Interface.

Using the serial port the CT-17 is connected to, software programs can read
the frequency, mode and other parameters and you can use the software to
control those same parameters via the CI-V interface on the Icom Radios.

The CI-V interface is a two wire interface and uses the sleeve and the tip
of an 1/8" plug for the data interchange. Other devices can use the bus at
the same time and all are connected
in parallel. There is no txd or rxd line per-se on this bus. If you put a
stereo plug into the CI-V interface, the ring connection will likely be
shorted to the sleeve by the mechanical connection of the jack.

Finally, although it should be clear, there is no software that comes with a
CT-17. It's purpose is purely hardware. Since it is a serial port
device, it does not require any driver installation like a USB to serial or
other device does.

I can't say from experiance that the R-7100 uses a mono plug but if you
want to down load from the radio and upload from the computer you need
to have a stereo plug. i.e. tx,rx and ground (common).
