I have found that much of the 'atmospheric' noise is actually cpmong from
the car!

Probably 90% of my operation is done mobile, and my station is a little
'intense'...any noise or electrical problem that one can have, I've probably
had! Good couplers don't hurt. either...I run an SGC QMS with the
matching(big) whip on one rig, and an AH4 feeding a 19' whip on the other.
(not a typo, btw..nineteen feet...military whip, with a 90º at the
apex...goes up and then forward...AH4 loves it!)

That said, our utility reads the meters and monitors the grid using
BPL...and when they are polling...forget it!
