[ICOM] Such a Deal

Hi Folks,

Well, I am back from vacation and working with the insurance company
adjuster on the Icom damage again.

Now, I know everyone needs a good laugh so here it goes....

Damaged items thus far that have been inspected are.

IC 756 PRO II
IC 746 PRO
IC 756 PRO
IC 737
IC 4KL
TS 930SAT

Although replacement costs from ham stores is about 15K, the person that
does the replacement procurement (They buy direct and have shipped to me)
says that he has located the replacement new items for me for about 400.00
and the items are being shipped to me.

He said that they cannot replace the linear amplifier (kicker as he calls
it) since they are not legal and they cannot replace it.

This should be interesting. I asked if he knew the difference between ham
radio and CB? He said it was all the same anymore. There was really no since
in trying to discuss it with him.
