Phil just be careful mine work ok for awhile, THEN, it started acting
up, would tune good for awhile and then it kept running and wouldn't
shut off. I called ICOM Seattle and told them what going on and that it
stopped working. I sent it back to ICOM and just had a month left on the
warranty. Here is what they found, REPLACED 3 DAMAGED RELAYS IN THE TUNER
UNIT AND REPLACED OUT OF TOLERANCE CAPS ON TUNER CONTROL UNIT. ICOM
stated in the repair ticket,,,,Usual Cause is TUNER operation in the 6m
band, TUNER HAS NO AUTO FUNCTION IN THIS BAND. You must re- initiate TUNE
when going to this band or changing freq.'s in this band.
So thats the story Phil, I leave the Auto Tuner off on 6M's and when I go
to, say 50.125 I tune it manually. Good Luck, Mac
