[ICOM] CI-V question

While we're on the topic of the CI-V bus, Gary, what are the CI-V
commands for selecting VFO A and VFO B on an IC-775? These commands are
not documented on page 20 of the 775 manual. The VFO or Main/Sub
selection commands used in other dual-receive transceivers (781, 756,
756 pro, etc) don't work in the IC-775. I know for a fact that such
commands exist because I spent several hours of trial and error finding
them when I first got the radio, and used them for years. Unfortunately,
I no longer have either the command information or an IC-775 with which
to rediscover it. Can you help? Thanks...

Floyd,

All Icom rigs that have CI-V use the same 2 circuit 1/8 inch "mono"
phone
plug connector. The required data level is TTL voltages, 0 and +5 volts.
The only different CI-V is the IC-735 which uses 4 bit instead of 5 bit
control data all other Icom's with CI-V use.
If a CI-V interface works for the 765, it also works for the 781, even
the
735 since its not the CI-V port or interface that is different on the
735,
only the amount of bits of data it uses.

I can't see any reason one of his interfaces works with one Icom and not

another if they both use CI-V. There are so many makers of CI-V
interfaces
out there I would find another.
