Buy one male, and one female 8 pin mini din connectors. Cut the cable and
terminate each end with one of the mini din connectors. Female on the radio
side, and male on the remote head side. Pin for pin. Now, you can buy a
mac computer extension cable with male-female connectors. These have 8 pin
mini din connectors on them. All 8 pins are wired thru, and the shield is
connected to the metal sleeve. Get a good quality cable with a good shield,
etc. These come in 6 ft, 8 ft., 10 etc. I needed a longer cable for my 706
mobile installation and that's what I did and it works very well. 73 Saad

Good Luck. As you probably already know they are proprietary connectors.

I have seen them go for close to retail on the bay, no deals there.

AES has the 16' Separation cable for $79.99. Expensive but what are you
going
to do.
