Hi Group
I was just about to change the interface hookup to my Ic-706MkIIG. I am
planing on hooking to the 6-Pin Mini-DIN so that I don't have to deal with
removing the mic and putting it back etc... I just wanted to confirm with
the group that I am using the correct pins. I figure that I need to use
the following pins from the MkIIG manual.

Pin 1: Transmit Audio, From sound card output. The manual labels this one
as "Data In" and I am not sure what that means.

Pin 2: All Grounds, there are more than one ground on my interface. I
believe that they can all be connected together with no problems.

Pin 3: PTT, This one is labeled PTTP in the manual and I was wondering if
some one knew why it was PTTP as opposed to PTT?

Pin 5: Receive Audio, To the sound card line in. The manual says that this
one is 1200bps receive data and that pin 4 is 9600bps receive data. which
should I be using pin 5 or pin 4? and why one over the other? if it is
just audio coming out shouldn't it be the same either way? Also in the
manual a schematic shows a connection to either one so is connecting to
both the appropriate thing to do?

I have never really looked at this data port before as I have not had the
equipment that one would normally hook up to this port so I thought I
would ask the group just to be sure. incidentally I hava kk7uq Interface
Model II from Clint Hurd

thanks
