Need some help.
My 1 year old 756 Proll was damaged in a near lightning strike about a month
ago. I asked the insurance adjuster where he wanted me to send the damaged
equipment and he told me that the insurance company didnt want it because the rig
was not salvageable.
So now I have a 756 Proll that was damaged by lightning and I just dont have
the guts to throw it in the trash can.......just cant bring myself to do that.
Is there an authorized Icom technician (other than Icom America) that I can
send the rig to for repairs? I am willing to invest some dollars to get the rig
back to normal operations.
The damage report says; The power board, processor unit, RF unit board all
have severe damage consistent with a direct hit or strong magnetic impulse.
Any help with making a decision from the group would be appreciated.
Cosmetically the rig looks brand new.
Thanks
