[ICOM] Damaged Gear

Hi Folks,

The saga of the damaged gear has taken a strange turn once again. I was
told by the adjuster that my bid had been accepted and I sent a check off.
The dealer would not release the gear to me because he has not been paid for
his inspections.

I called today to inquire as to the status and I found out that the adjuster
that I have been working with is no longer with the company as of last
Friday. I talked to her on Friday and she did not say anything about
leaving and she was supposed to call me this AM to work out the details of
the buy back of the gear.

I have to assume she was fired..... I talked to her supervisor today and we
are back to square one on the gear. She said that the previous adjuster had
no authority to make such a decision. My check is being returned to me and
the company is not going to let me have it after all.

Now it is time for a laugh, she wants all the damaged coax's, connectors
etc. sent to a dealer for inspection and disposition. I shipped off a 48 lb
box of junk today to a dealer for inspection.

I guess I did luck out as all my new gear is here as of today bought and
paid for by the insurance co.

So I guess the damaged gear is not going to be available after all. Sorry.
