John,I also live in that kind of neighborhood.I had the 756,then upgraded to
a pro.I think it was worth the upgrade.The screen is more
reliable.Yes,filters not needed.Noise reduction is abt the same as far as I
can tell.But,I had a 756 that developed lines in the display.Icom fixed it
and it was fine after that.I still like the pro over the original.Just my
thoughts...73,john
