>The 7800 is worth every penny if you can afford one and absurdly

>that equation you find yourself, not the relative performance of the rigs.
maybe not. worth every penny ??? .. i can afford it and am still
debating...
when my k2 hears the vu4 better than my 756PII,,, it frightens me a little
to make the big move...is it just the noise blanker that is superior or is
there something else.....
** The Ten-Tec Orion according to the tests and reviews I have read out
performs
** easily the 7800 under difficult conditions, for a fraction of the price of
** the Icom...
out performs,??? yes ...
1. when it is working , and there are many that consider "working" as part of
any performance criteria.... by working I mean that it does what it
is supposed to do. ie: not needing to be reset, uploaded,
downloaded, grounded, rfi'd etc etc ....ad nauseam
2 when you accept that the scope is " not needed anyway" since it is
deemed rather worthless even by the cultists, thus the " not needed
anyway" comment (justification.)
i love myTTs... and my K2s.....
Please do not copy to the TT list, this is directed to the Icom list, in
response to the comment about performance.
merry Christmas..
