[ICOM] Fan on the 706MKIIG

I just traded up from a 706 original to a 706MKIIG,
and was surprised to find that the 706mKIIG runs much
hotter.  The fan ran during both transmit and receive
on the 706, as it should, to keep the rig fairly cool.
 I guess the fan only runs during transmit on the
706MKIIG, which makes it run hotter.  Now this seems
like some reverse logic on someone's part.  I know
there is a mod to make the fan run continuously on the
MKIIG, and I will probably do it eventually.  Anyone
have an idea as to why Icom made this change, as it
seems to be going backwards.

Like the 706MKIIG other than that.
