That is not a bad idea.  Kenwood did it with the 570

Nice idea.  Doubt it will have the ability to listen
to 2 different frequencies on different bands.  Not
even the PRO3 does that.  To do that, it requires 2
different receivers, and that gets pretty expensive. 
Maybe more like the TS2000, where one of the receivers
is FM only on VHF, so you can monitor HF and the local
repeater at the same time.

Definitely needs a memory keyer with several memories.
 A standard TCXO would also be nice, since you can
really get some temperature differences while mobile. 
And a build in antenna tuner would also be nice.  Lets
hope it is different enough to get a new number, and
not just a 706MKIII or 706MKIIJ or whatever.
