Hell, same thing happened to me when I bought my 746.

BTW, the last digits are the actual serial numbers, so your
serial number is 1890.

Which 4 numbers are you fellas looking at?  I purchased a new Pro II in
August and the serial number is 2201890.  Would you consider this serial
# 2201 or 1890?

I should have waited a few more months and purchased a ProIII, never
fails.  When I finally get around to buying a rig, a new one comes out
and the price on the older one drops like a rock.  Same thing happened
when I bought a Pro.
