Hi John,
  unless it has changed WSJT is 30 sec of xmit and 30 sec of receive, when the 910 is in FM mode thats 
100% duty cycle and I wouldn't think twice about talking for over 30 secs.

  I have done SSTV on the 910 when AO40 was still around,and I have also done WSJT, hellscriber and a few others,
I would just let the 910's fan be your guide, it has several steps and really gets loud when the rig finally gets hot.

 Of course cutting your power 50% wouldn't hurt anything either if you wanted to play it extra safe...
