[ICOM] Icom 706mk2g CW Keying

Marty,

The Icom uses positive keying + 0.4 volts D.C.  Using the CW Key plug the 
positive leg needs to attach to the tip and the ground to the sleeve. The 
ring is left empty in this case. Its the same connection as a straight key. 
You do need to use the stereo type of plug. You will want to go into the 
quick set menu and turn off any paddle set up you have.
Its possible the transistor is not conducting hard enough to pull the CW 
jack low to key the 706MKIIG. Also have it in breakin mode either Semi or Full.
