[ICOM] Icom "Dual Watch" feature and the Balance Control

Doubt it... The Dual watch feature was copied almost exactly from the 781
(Mid '80s design) and it mixes 2 LO frequencies... Obviously not the last
word in design nearly 20 years later... But it works very well. It has the
advantage of just one IF strip... One set of filters... A big saving
pre-DSP.

>As for why ICOM didn't incorporate stereo dual watch - things like lawyers,
patent process etc had a lot to do with it.
