Subject: [ICOM] Mic extension cable

I've bought a newer car & I've got to mount my IC-207H in the trunk. This
means that I need a mic extension cable. I have an 8 footer but that
doesn't quite make it. Icom has a longer one but HRO shows the price as $84
plus change.

I've been looking at the one the 8ft cable and it looks like nothing more
than an RJ-45 cable. I can't see paying $84 for a simple cable if what I'm
seeing.

Can I use a plain RJ-45 cable or is there something special that Icom needs?
