Symptom: No TX output in all modes. Problem is traced to no output at J8
connector on the RF unit.
Probable Cause: Bad Q14 transistor amplifier on RF unit.
Cure: Replace faulty Q14 transistor (2SC2053).
Remarks: There may be other problems on the RF unit. Check the DC voltages
at D47 diode.

When I went thru this, Icom Tech Support told me to replace all for of the
D47 type diodes. The guy you got was probably not familiar with the older
radios..

Subject: [ICOM] 765/ Q14 & diode replacement

Hi Folks,
Someone on the reflector mentioned that when the Driver Q14 goes they
should replace 4 diodes associated with the driver. I just got off the phone
with Icom and they knew nothing of it, Soooo is there anyone out there that
could help with the problem ?
   Thanks, John WE2F
