Hi Dave-
I think enough folks have the "gotta-have" mentality for new radios to keep
things interesting for the rest of us--look at the booming sales for the
7800. I have a friend who is near the top of the DX list ( 13th in the world
on one major list ) and he did most of it with older relatively simple
radios even though he now enjoys using a 756 Pro ll. What he does have is a
lot of aluminum very high in the air--which is difficult for me to do on a
1/7 acre lot. And he is a very skilled and dedicated operator which also
leaves me out. ;-)
But gadgets are fun and I enjoy my 756 Pro ll immensely.
