You wont go far wrong with the Samlex SEC 1223 23 amp
switching supply, I know many people who use them, they
are approx the same size as a 706, Ive used them a lot
and one has been powering my IC-756 as my base psu for
3 years now, its on 24/7, I never switch it off, no noise
works perfectly, is easily switchable from 110/240v

I know lots of Dxpeditions have used them as well
