NA6T and I have installed SP2 in over 20 machines with no problems. There
CAN be a problem with TCP IP data apparently, but .. not on this, or any of
my other machines.
BUT --- this situation does point out a problem
Mods.dk in IE = Error 403, which usually has to do with the server shutting
out the client.\
Running Mozilla FireFox, the result is that the site has been suspended.
-- bama is fine., by the way .....
Here is the clue:

I am working on this right now .. In the meantime, has anybody running
another operating system tried the mods.dk site?

Can someone who regularly gets compliments on their super-duper BBC quality
audio tell me the compression setting that they use when they have a need to
use compression.
I don't need a lesson on audio processing, audio sounds better without it,
etc. etc. .
Please advise me by clock reference where you have found the best setting to
be on your IC 746, many thanks.

Would appreciate it if some members of the group who are 746 owners could
give me advice on the correct setting of the compression adjustment.
I require a maximum of 10 Db of processing but mostly 5 Db. Looking at the
back of the rig I am informed that the setting at 7.0 o'clock is MAXIMUM and
the setting at 5.0 o'clock is OFF. I have found it difficult to know
exactly where to make the setting to have a satisfactory audio. Your
settings in o'clocks will be welcome.

Hi Jeff,
There are a number of posts on Danish- and Dutch-language newsgroups about
mods.dk going dark. The people posting these messages are as puzzled as we
are.
I wonder if somebody really bitched? For several years now, I have a number
of Icom-related service manuals, modification/upgrade procedures and service
bulletins on my site and on Icom FAQ, and have received no complaints from
any quarter. Given the number of extended-transmit-coverage mods on the
mods.dk site, the webmaster may have caught some flak from European radio
regulatory agencies seeing a significant number of amateur FM radios showing
up in PMR, VHF marine and other radio services requiring equipment
authorisation.
Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

And some of the manuals incorrectly say 5A, right? ;-) I can't remember

Folks: the site is off the net. Ping is your friend in situations like
this.
If two people on the list can't see a site, chances are that the site is
down for whatever reason. I've sent mail to mods at mods.dk to ask
them about things. We'll see if there is a mx record to catch mail for
that site, or if mail going to them is dead too. I hope this is just a
temporary thing but who knows.
