Jaws is very nice, but it costs $750 a copy.

Hi, Folks.
I am forwarding this request to the Icom reflector because I have never
known a bunch of more gifted and generous hams. If any of you can help
Terry or his son, please feel free to use the reflector even if this might
of necessity drift off topic a bit.
73, Dick

Hello Dick,
Please excuse my writing directly to you "off Icom Reflector" list .. But I
am unsure
a. If my search qualifies for listing on the Icom Reflector.. and
b. How to head up such a request for any help ..
c. He does have a new Icom 706 Mk2 G from his 40th birthday late last year.
I have for many months enjoyed reading the news and opinions that appear on
the fine reflector you so ably host.. and I like your efforts at
'moderation' etc.
I seek help for my 40 y.o. son who is due to face a third effort at killing
a tumor in the very middle of his head.. It has 'destroyed' his right
eyesight so far but the experts now find after a 3 yr lapse he has grown
another large tumor which to kill by even more radiation or neurosurgery
will most probably destroy all his remaining eyesight.
I have been in touch with a blind ham in CA.. who offers quite a bit of
advice .. but has only experience with built-in Voice synthesizers for
brand 'K' ..
I seek any info , source, and performance comments for a Voice synthesizer
unit
that would match his Icom 706 and also possibly for an older brand 'F' rig..
Preferably second hand, stand alone and perhaps with programming s/w
etc..and
from USA hams who would be prepared to ship to me in New Zealand.
( I would arrange any payment via Paypal or Money order..)
Both he and I are quite technical ...& able to build interface units etc
etc..
as he currently works as a Chief design engineer for a local electronics co.
I would be happy to reply/answer any e/m s or meet hams on Echolink, or
Skype (VoIP) in USA weekend evenings..off list if you preferred.
Sincere Thanks & 73's Terry ZL1TCF....
Keep up the very good work you do..on the Icom reflector.
