Looks like Gary answered most of your questions.
I am using the RT systems CD. It is simple. But really, how difficult do
they need to make it???? It sends and receives the data... and it works.

Again, Gary gave you the real deal on that. I do have an OPC-478, and the
RT-systems software as I said.

I don't do software... but what I could really use is a program like the RT
systems one that would load memories into any of my ICOM radios through the
CI-V.
I just recently sent my IC-820 in for service. It came back with all the
memories cleared. There are more memories in it than my W32A has. Would
have been nice to have it all on the HD, and just upload it from an excel
file or something.
Perhaps some day such a program will exist. I can't be the only ham wishing
I could do this. Shoot, just the 80 memories I have loaded in my 706 with
the alpha-numerics....
