The "G" has 70cm coverage. The power output of the "G" is, I believe 50
watts on 2 meters. The "II" produces 20 watts. There are a few buttons on the
front; band change, for example that are backlit in a green hue, making them
easier to spot in the dark.

The ALC search full power spike at the beginning of each is gone in the "G."
The ARRL review comments more thoroughly. I don't know if you have access to
QST, being Canadian eh? But if you don't -- and if you're a member of CRRL I
can produce a copy for you.

I own one of the first "IIs" and when you add up what I paid for the DSP unit
that came about six months later and the CW filter back then, the "G" is a
great deal. 73, Tim K0PG
