I've had great success with my T81A. My wife got one as a present, and
it was reasonable enough that I got one next Dayton, and then found a used
one for my daughter. The radios are pretty good. The major failing with them
is the slightly weird multi-function button used to select things, which is
hard to master. Thats my only complaint with it. I've seen them for between
$180 and $340 (really, on ebay last year). Diamond makes a nice quad band
antenna thats decent, if a little long.
