[Icom] ICM Mic element Problem

I too had the element go out in my ICOM 725 mike.  I replaced it with an 
electret element from RS.  It required a mod of the resistor in the mike 
to allow more voltage on the mike element but it worked fine after 
bypassing the resistor to get full voltage.  The elements I used were $3 
for TWO in a package so I still have a spare.  And as he said, the on 
the air reports were impressive!!.
