Well, folks, here is a brief rundown of the damage I got from the lightning
strike last Friday night. This is just the ham gear. There is lots of
other damage to the house and computers.
I started checking some of the gear on receive tonight and it is not looking
good.
So far 4 PS 125's inop, 2 PS55's.
No receive on these.
IC 7400
IC 737 S meter is even bent around the stop
IC 738 Same thing..
IC 756 Pro dead
IC 751 dead
IC 751A dead
IC 730 dead
IC 756PRO II Very little receive and no power out
2 KL, inop
AT 500 tuner inop
2 AT 100 tuners inop
Kenwood TS850 dead
The following are working somewhat
IC 701, IC 720, IC 749, IC 745
The other major Icom gear and the KW 930 & 940 seems ok
The port rig IC 703 + dead and even has a hole next to the ant jack
4 Daiwa coax switches and SWR meters
Yaesu Rotor
Traps are blown on the beam
Looks like most of the poly phasers protection worked somewhat and 2 of them
are melted.
Looks like it is going to be costly.
The Insurance adjuster said to send them all to Icom for repair or
replacement. Yeh, like Icom will fix the 738 & 737's and the 751's
Looks like it will be shopping time soon.
Also, there was no power or antennas hooked to anything, it came in over the
phone lines and ground to the radio room.
So, are we having fun yet?? NO...
