[Icom] Icom ranking

Hate to become involved in a free-for-all, but, I have
had an Icom 756 Pro II for about a year. I recently
bought a Yaesu Mark V, 200 watt model.

While the Yaesu appeared and felt a lot more like the
older Kenwood and Yaesu rigs I have had, like the
Kenwood 870-S, when it was put online with the Icom --
no comparison -- the Icom 756 was MUCH more sensitive,
pulled out signals the Yaesu couldn't even hear.

One man's opinion!

Note: Both rigs were run on external speakers. The
Yaesu ONLY had the basic filters that came with it,
thank goodness, I was thinking of really jazzing the
Yaesu up, but for $140 per filter, x 5, awfully glad I
did not -- as it was, I took a beating when I sold it.
