Jim... check out a CT-17 clone made by W2ENY at
http://www.geocities.com/w2eny/ It costs less than the CT-17, and I've been
using one for quite a while now very successfully. He also has a unit that
interfaces only one radio at an even lower price. 73, Jerry K3BZ

Subject: [Icom] New Question and Thanks
Many thanks to everyone who responded to my previous query regarding
antennas. I appreciate everyones ideas and experiences very much. I am now
on the air with a 135' center-fed dipole using 450 ohm ladder-line and an
old Heathkit balun. My 765 will tune every band except 160 and 17 meters.
I am very pleased with the results.
Next question...Can anyone recommend an alternative to the Icom CT-17
computer-to-radio interface? I have located the N4VAS product on eham.net
and was wondering if this group had any experience with it or could suggest
an alternative. Your comments are most welcome. Thanks!! Jim N4XWA
