[Icom] Blasphemy

I will offer my own opinion, and that is all that it is.  I have had 
most of the Icoms over the years and my current station is built around 
2 Icom IC-756 Pros which I consider two of the best of the current breed 
of radios out there.  However, the BEST AND FINEST radio I have ever 
owned (based on side-by-side comparisons) was the Yaesu FT-1000D which I 
owned and enjoyed for 10 years. It would out-perform anything else I had 
in the shack,  however I sold the radio due to its age and the lack of 
decent support when Vertec took over the company.  I owned other Yaesus 
(such as the FT1000MP), and NONE of them held a candle to the 1000D.  
That being said, I presently prefer the current line off  Icoms over 
anything else on the market.  That could change with the introduction of 
the new super-Yaesu coming down the pipeline.
