Ham Radio Deluxe < www.ham-radio.ch/forums/index.php > radio control
software. It's free. It'll work with the 706, but not the 2100. It is a
great piece of work and still in development. HRD works with most current
and many older HF/VHF/UHF rigs. It is already being developed to work with
the IC-7800. HRD also has Mapper and PSK31 modules and plays well with the
DXKeeper suite of logging and etc. software. As far as I know no plans are
in the works for it to support VHF/UHF-only rigs. A new version is
scheduled to be released this weekend. Some users have developed some
remote control applications. It's well worth checking out.
