[Icom] Driving Older Amps

A simple solution that I've used is that most newer HF tranceivers have a
accessory socket on the rear that delivers something like 12 - 16 VDC on
transmit, I use that to close an external 12 VDC relay from Rad Shack, that
has worked fine for me. No messy mods to hurt either radio or amp. I do
this with my Hunter 2000C and a TS-690SAT... 73 Tim K8WBL

No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number
of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
