Hi John,
You can perform the master-oscillator alignment procedure (REFERENCE
FREQUENCY) given on p. 6-2 of the service manual. The procedure involves
first setting the calibrator control for 3V on J2 Pin 2, then adjusting L45
for a 60.00000 MHz reading on a counter connected to J4 (all on PLL UNIT).
If you do not have a counter handy, you can set L45 for zero-beat on WWV
offset by 1 kHz with the Marker on (9999.000 or 14999.000 kHz USB).
Either of these methods will set the master oscillator correctly,
independent of BFO accuracy.
You will first need to lift out the power supply (REG UNIT) to expose the
PLL UNIT.
You can download the service manual here:

Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

Cannot zero beat WWV with the calibrate control. Has TCXO. Maybe BFO
frequencies are off? Any suggestions?
