[Icom] IC746 Problem on 2m

Hi Folks..
             I have an IC746 with distorted audio when transmitting SSB on
2metres.. It ONLY happens on 2m....All other bands/modes are OK. It appears
to be heat related, in that the audio is fine from switch-on, but
deteriorates as it warms up. If I turn down the power out to about 20watts,
the problem disappears. It doesn't appear to be RF feedback related, as I
have the same problem in different QTHs..
   Has anyone come across this one?? Any help would be much appreciated..
