Only if a non-ham said something like... "He always follows his
correspondence with 73's"... A CB'er would have to write "He always
follows his correspondence with 73s". A Ham would know better and use it
properly... "He always follows his correspondence with 73"...
The difference is in the first case, the non-ham has no idea of the
significance of the 73, therefore it's just a number, which requires an
apostrophe... In the second case, it is not merely a number, so it
doesn't require an apostrophe, in the third case, the Ham knows that you
never pluralize 73...
