The point is that the manufacturer doesn't determine the packaging.  These
things are set up by a shipping association.

That being said - if electronics is NOT packed in the "original" materials,
but IS packed with the correct materials - or substitutes - it WILL be
honored for payment.

Also, damage to the exterior of the packaging overrides the requirement of
proper packaging.

Often you can determine what might have happened to the package by the
outside of the packing.  Gouge marks, rip marks, scuffing marks, these are
things that indicate that no matter how good the packaging, there is going
to be damage.
