Chris.you might be surprised if you look at the size of the wire that feeds
this outlet..!  If it does indeed have the size to handle 10A (12V/120W) I
would be very surprised.  Handle 50W, I don't see why not.  Just be careful
and if possible, measure the voltage at your radio, under load.!  I have
seen cig lighter plugs in a normal car using 18AWG wire.  Now mind you, how
much current does the lighter draw when it is in use and getting red?
Oh..look at the size of the fuse (some may have a fuseable link)...!  Let us
know how you fare on the voltage readings.
