[Icom] Icom 7800 Introduced

It looks like a combination of the IC781 and the IC756 to me.  It's =
inside a
plexi-glass case - like the TS2000 was when Kenwood kicked that off.

Oh and by the way, Kenwood seems to have a new offering that they expect =
to
compete with the IC706... but it is really a replacement for the TS50, =
in my
opinion (only goes up to 50Mhz).

I noticed that this Friday was heavier attendance than I can ever recall =
for
a Dayton Friday.

Double the price of the 756 Pro II ( effectively two 756 Pro II radios =
and
power supplies in the 7800 ), add $1,000 for the licensed Swartz =
technology
and bigger TFT screen and you get $6,000??  :-)
