Hi Mark and all,
Well Mark, I got you beat, been a ham for 47 years. I too have had just
about all of them and by far the Icom is the best.
I doubt the IC 7800 will be 7800.00 cause my IC 7400 sure was not 7400.00
hi hi.
I too, will probably order one when they come out....

Iffn' I had your bux, Bill, I would throw mine away .. but, am lucky in
that
my kids (2 dghtrs) don't need what few dollars I ain't got .. but I put
information for them what my gear is worth, in the will(s) .. XYL (WA6MJB)
and I heartily agree on that item, seems you do too! Like what you said,
health takes its toll .. Wish I had ended up with the big bux, but sure
have
a hamshack full of "nostalgia" gear... AND .. AS FAR AS ICOM .... was
one of the very first "original" DEALERS in the USofA! --- Back When ..
and
have had hundreds of ham rigs.. AS FAR AS HF .. the rig du jour .. it will
be ICOM!
Cheers .. looking forward to having to the OnE I hAvE bEen HoLdInG oFf fOr!
Seriously, folks .. if the radio that is being discussed --- the 7800 ..
comes up to expectations, I will have one .. BRAND SPANKING NEW ... even
though I cannot afford... just going by life this one time! Hammin'
for
39 years -- Mark --- AA6DX

Heck guys, it is only money and it is a replaceable commodity. When I
almost bit the big one last August, I said what the heck, the kids all have
good jobs and don't need the $$$$.
So I bought lots of Icom gear and some Korean SUV's and enjoy both..
