[Icom] MFJ

Hello all,
Maybe because I live about 25 miles from where Mr. MFJ grew up, I'm a little
more sympathetic about his reputation being smeared. That being said I will
admit
that not all of his products (ok...a lot of them) are home runs. On the other
hand
a lot of them are. Most of the SWR analyzers, TNC's, keyers, antenna tuners,
amplifiers, etc. are very good products especially for the money. And you
simply
can't beat his "No Matter What" warranty. If you ever have the chance, take a
trip to
Starkville, MS and visit their factories. Martin or one of his staff will give
you a tour
of the place. When you leave he'll shake your hand and thank you for stopping
by.
In my humble opinion, ham radio would be a lot worse off without MFJ. Just to
insure that this email is not completely non Icom, MFJ makes a lot of
accessories
for Icom radios that are either unavailable from Icom or priced considerably
less
than the factory items. My two cents worth. 73
