I tried that url also, this is what I've obtained:
ICOM IC-740 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ EXPD. RF 1- Remove the power and antenna.
2- Remove the screws and open the radio. 3- Locate RF
board. 4- CUT white resistor jumper located between D-31 and "C" wire.
5- Reset the microprocessor. 6- Reassemble the radio.
