[Icom] HT dilemma-HELP!

Since most of the radios sold today are ALMOST software defined, perhaps the
mic gain was set to the low position.

On my Icom 2720 I had to go into the setup menu and choose the higher
setting for transmit audio.

John I heard a new ham on the air today with the Kenwood. You could barely
hear him. Others were questioning him about the radio and what was wrong. I
own a VX 5R and have had no major complaints. An after market antenna is a
must.
