Hi Jack,

I believe any photo coupier would be OK because it is nothing advance in =
technology. Just bring the circuiit diagram to hams with electronic =
engineering background. They will know the answer. Sorry I am not an =
expert in this regard.

  Good Evening Siu...
  My 761 is with Paul Hanson for the trimmer update. The power supply=20
  apparently died when he started it up.
  He just informed me that the N-11=D8 Photo Coupler is bad and that =
ICOM has=20
  the part on back order.
  I'm far from being an expert and I'm not sure what part the Photo =
Coupler=20
  plays.
  I happen to have a PS-35 that is (was) in really bad condition=20
  cosmetically. I had no qualms in removing the part.
  Removing it from the board is another adventure. It took me an hour =
just=20
  to get all the screws out and wires removed to get the board out.
  The Coupler has four leads. I will enlist the aid of a friend tonite =
to=20
  help me get the thing off the board without applying too much heat.
  Good Luck.

  It would be interesting to know if ICOM Japan has the part or can tell =
us=20
  if there is a replacement on the open market.
