Thanks for your reply.=A0 Just to reiterate my previous statement, there
are NO modifications or upgrades to allow any ICOM radio to operate on
60 meters.=A0 If it doesn't come from ICOM, it isn't an authorized
modification, so if you want to modify your radio, that's fine, but if
you damage the radio or if the modification causes damage, the repair is
on the one doing the modification.=A0 You are correct about the MARS
modification, but remember, the frequencies are just outside of the
normal amateur radio bands, so the band pass filters are not "stretched"
too much.
