Same problem here with my 756ProII. We also have Navy MARS frequencies
in the 5-6mc region and the closer you get to 6mc, the more the power
drops off. As soon as you hit 6mc the next set of bandpass filters pop
in and you get full power back. The only advantage is that by using a
756ProII, you are automatically limited to 50 watts or less because of
this "feature". Maybe Icom knew what the FCC action would be a long time
ago and built the 50watt limit into the ProII :-)
