[Icom] IC765 on 60 meters

The only ICOM lately that I know of that doesn't
do 60 meters very well at all is my 756ProII.
It blocks most of 5 to 6 MHz, and I'm not convinced
there's a technical reason because it works OK from the
720 on up.  I'll bet ICOM comes out with a pay-and-play
upgrade for that radio that will open up 60 meters.
I am a USAF MARS member who often comes up on SHARES
and FEMA frequencies in the 5 to 6 MHZ range, and I have
to use some other radio. Not too happy 'bout that!

And, maybe one reason 60 meters is so restricted is
that 5 to 6 MHZ band is crowded with government users.
Lot of embassies and foreign service on there.  Maybe
Homeland Security wanted some hams to be there for
off-the-wall use in some kind of a weird emergency.
No, MARS won't underwrite me getting my 756 modified.
