The escutcheon is held on by thin double faced tape. Use a hair drier and
heat up the escutcheon and use a very small dental pick or sharp knife point
to get under a corner of it and lift it off.
Remove the small Phillips screws and the glass will come right off.
When you get ready to put the trim back on, heat with the hair drier and
reinstall it.
I have done it many times.

Subject: [Icom] IC-765 Faceplate
Hi gang,
My IC-765 has collected a lot of dust behind the glass window over the
years in places I cannot reach except by removing the window itself. I
removed the faceplate, which is pretty straight forward, but I noticed the
screws that hold the glass window come in from the outside, right under the
label trim. I am afraid I'll break the galss trying to get to the screws.
anyone here has tackled this problem?
Please reply to the list, not to me, so we all benefit from the information.
Thanks in advance,
Carlos. KF4RRN
